Antique/vintage gaming token/coin/jeton - 1823 Imitation Sovereign - King George IIII - 1800's.

A handsome brass Georgian gaming token/coin produced in the 1800's as an imitation of a sovereign design for use as a gaming token,this coin and mount is over 200 years old and was  historically mounted to be worn as a watch fob or pendant. Despite appearing to look like a sovereign it was made from brass but due to its rarity it still holds considerable value and during the 1800's and was worn as a sovereign regardless.  Approx. 2" by 1" or 5 cm by 2.7 cm, with extremely good definition for its considerable age, due to these not being genuine sovereigns not many have survived the test of time but because the ones that did are being from brass they have kept their definition!

This is being offered at a fraction of its usual value and should be worn as a sovereign like so many people did two hundred years ago!
