Handmade in Venice in the 1970's this was originally made as a cigarette dispenser but we don't know if the mirror was added later on to make it into a jewellery box/make-up box either way it did used to also have music coming from it as apparantly they originally had the components inside for a 'wind-up' music box mechanism but we're not sure if that is still there. Either way it makes for a stunning jewellery box as it's felt lined with a small mirror to possibly try earrings on? A great piece of 1970's history and all out of  beautiful pieces of timber!
